What is an insurace broker?

Primarily, the insurance broker is an independent buyers of insurancecoverage in the interest of his client.

By law (bokers act) he is obligated toprovide to its customers the best possible insurance coverage and even thoughhe is working for both parties (buyer and insurance companies), he is onbuyer's side and that's the main characteristic distinction compared to asalaried insurance agent or insurance agent.

  
From a client's view, the insurance broker's role is similar to the one of alawyer.

If entrusted accordingly, the insurance broker manages all insurance
contracts of his client and thus as a specialist and expert is the first pointof contact in all insurance matters.
